Now when God plays hide-and-seek and pretends he is you and me, he does it so well that it takes him along time to remember where and how he hid himself. But that is the whole fun of it--just what he wanted to do. He does not want to find himself too quickly, for that will spoil the game. That is why it is so difficult for you and me to find out we are God in disguise, pretending not to be himself. But when the game has gone on Long enough, all of us will wake up, stop pretending, and remember that we are all one single Self-- the God who is all that there is and who lives forever and ever " -Arnold Mindell
" Without accepting the fact that everything changes, we cannot find perfect composure. But unfortunately, although it is true, it is difficult for us to accept it. Because we cannot accept the truth of transience, we suffer. " Shunryu Suzuki

Born March 18, 1991 as Pavel Fateev in Krasnodar (Russia) Lucy Christo lived in Rio De Janeiro (Brazil), breezed through Jersey and eventually settled in Seattle.. He says, " Only a small chunk of my life was spent in poor conditions for which I am grateful. " As a kid, he wanted to be the most respected gangster in the world but he wanted to be the gangster that fought for a noble cause - at times. Other times, he imagined himself as robbing banks and killing people.

Which
do you enjoy more, being an artist or producer?
Lu C
I am an Artist/Producer. I enjoy both differently
I can't say one is better than the other, they work very well together. Working with other artists on their craft, helps me develop my own and vice versa. The new ideas I pick up while collaborating are priceless. I believe the best kind of art is the art which involves more than one person. Watching the progress in other people, and helping them achieve their goals is a blessing to me, and I truly love everyone I have the opportunity to work with.

Tell us about Lacosa
Lu C
I am part of a larger whole called L.A.C.O.S.A. (Loosely Affiliated Coalition For Solo Artists). We are a community of like-minded artists who see the benefit of working Individually as well as in a team. Think of building with four pillars. In order for the building to stand strong, each pillar has to be holding up its own weight. Separately we may make an impact, but together we can create something truly magical. When all of that collective experience is brought into one room, the possibilities are limitless. Members of L.A.C.O.S.A are as follows: Lucy Christo, Xavier Dige, Mack E, DL, Cassidy Malone, Trae Beats, JE, Carl Roe. Check us out, we're more a family unit that makes music, rather than a typical group.

Your plan?
Lu C
My plan is to create magic moments with people. Whether it's through art or simply talking (which is an art), but the beauty of the world lies in the culture and its people, and I'm here to soak all of it in, research and then give my feedback. I am a social scientist, and my biggest goal is to change people's mind by speaking the truth. I believe a lot is left out in our culture, and it's time to talk about certain things. We are in a day and age where information travels fast and we make a big difference.

What does Lucy Christo mean?
Lu C
It stems from Lucifer Christ. The name is an embodiment of the duality of the world. The light and the dark, black and white, ying and yang, Balance. Lucifer Christ was a bit intense, and people's reaction to it was very dramatic, the world isn't ready to accept Lucifer Christ so I'll introduce them to Lucy Christo first. He's more playful. The name came about as I was working on a project with a fellow artist. All of a sudden, he looks over at me and says,
" Lucifer Christ " It was perfect. I was transitioning out of an old name, I used to go as Plaimaka, the music is still online but it's the old me, my style has changed a lot.
Lu C
Being " satanic " or " satanist " doesn't resonate with me. I imagine to be " satanist " you have to wear dark clothes all of the time and perform weird rituals, such as sacrifice sheep and drink sheep blood. It's nothing like that. It is my way of accepting those parts of myself which I previously denied. I am whole. I accept my light and darkness equally. I can not hide from my shadows.

He
balances extremes like a scientist. There's a method in his madness. You may not agree with everything heard or felt, but maybe you are taking the art too seriously.
