One of a Kind ' Lucy Christo ' Shares: His Time, His Travels, His Transitions, His Dreams..

L u c y  C h r i s t o ' Lab Work '
" God also likes to play hide-and-seek but because there is nothing outside of God he has no one but himself to play with. But he gets over this difficulty by pretending he is not himself. He pretends he is you and me and all of the people the world, all the animals, all the plants, all the rocks, all the stars. In this way he has strange and wonderful adventures, some of which are terrible and frightening. But these are just like bad dreams, for when he wakes up they will disappear.
Now when God plays hide-and-seek and pretends he is you and me, he does it so well that it takes him along time to remember where and how he hid himself. But that is the whole fun of it--just what he wanted to do. He does not want to find himself too quickly, for that will spoil the game. That is why it is so difficult for you and me to find out we are God in disguise, pretending not to be himself. But when the game has gone on Long enough, all of us will wake up, stop pretending, and remember that we are all one single Self-- the God who is all that there is and who lives forever and ever " -Arnold Mindell

" Without accepting the fact that everything changes, we cannot find perfect composure. But unfortunately, although it is true, it is difficult for us to accept it. Because we cannot accept the truth of transience, we suffer. " Shunryu Suzuki

as you see.. is a very interesting individual. He has a way with words. He is Neptunian. His being and manner of operation is watery - Magical. He seems to be a down to earth type of guy or with the established system of things: artistically. He appears to be more so communal. He is a people's person, one of change, preparing for change when the time is right for him to change, or for the world, universe to change.

Born March 18, 1991 as Pavel Fateev in Krasnodar (Russia) Lucy Christo lived in Rio De Janeiro (Brazil), breezed through Jersey and eventually settled in Seattle.. He says, " Only a small chunk of my life was spent in poor conditions for which I am grateful. " As a kid, he wanted to be the most respected gangster in the world but he wanted to be the gangster that fought for a noble cause - at times. Other times, he imagined himself as robbing banks and killing people.

Which
do you enjoy more, being an artist or producer?

Lu C
I am an Artist/Producer. I enjoy both differently

I can't say one is better than the other, they work very well together. Working with other artists on their craft, helps me develop my own and vice versa. The new ideas I pick up while collaborating are priceless. I believe the best kind of art is the art which involves more than one person. Watching the progress in other people, and helping them achieve their goals is a blessing to me, and I truly love everyone I have the opportunity to work with.

Describe Seattle's music scene?
Lu C
L A C O S A

L A C O S A
The music scene is like the city itself: diverse. I think Seattle is the perfect place to be if you're looking for an audience, which is hungry for something original and boundary pushing. Anything can happen in Seattle, you can witness the most outrageous people or situations. Same goes for the music. We have a lot of talent, and I think currently, with the spotlight on us, people are really taking their craft to the next level. This goes for all creative/business ventures in the city right now. If I was to start listing all the great work created here, this interview would never end.

Tell us about Lacosa

Lu C
I am part of a larger whole called L.A.C.O.S.A. (Loosely Affiliated Coalition For Solo Artists). We are a community of like-minded artists who see the benefit of working Individually as well as in a team. Think of building with four pillars. In order for the building to stand strong, each pillar has to be holding up its own weight. Separately we may make an impact, but together we can create something truly magical. When all of that collective experience is brought into one room, the possibilities are limitless. Members of L.A.C.O.S.A are as follows: Lucy Christo, Xavier Dige, Mack EDL, Cassidy Malone, Trae Beats, JE, Carl Roe. Check us out, we're more a family unit that makes music, rather than a typical group.

Bucephalus Media
Your plan?
 Lu C
My  plan is to create magic moments with people. Whether it's through art or simply talking (which is an art), but the beauty of the world lies in the culture and its people, and I'm here to soak all of it in, research and then give my feedback. I am a social scientist, and my biggest goal is to change people's mind by speaking the truth. I believe a lot is left out in our culture, and it's time to talk about certain things. We are in a day and age where information travels fast and we make a big difference.

Bucephalus Media
What does Lucy Christo mean?
Lu C
It stems from Lucifer Christ. The name is an embodiment of the duality of the world. The light and the dark, black and white, ying and yang, Balance. Lucifer Christ was a bit intense, and people's reaction to it was very dramatic, the world isn't ready to accept Lucifer Christ so I'll introduce them to Lucy Christo first. He's more playful. The name came about as I was working on a project with a fellow artist. All of a sudden, he looks over at me and says,
" Lucifer Christ " It was perfect. I was transitioning out of an old name, I used to go as Plaimaka, the music is still online but it's the old me, my style has changed a lot.

Are you a satanist or satanic?
 Lu C
Being " satanic " or " satanist " doesn't resonate with me. I imagine to be " satanist " you have to wear dark clothes all of the time and perform weird rituals, such as sacrifice sheep and drink sheep blood. It's nothing like that. It is my way of accepting those parts of myself which I previously denied. I am whole. I accept my light and darkness equally. I can not hide from my shadows.

balances extremes like a scientist. There's a method in his madness. You may not  agree with everything heard or felt, but maybe you are taking the art too seriously

Napoleon Da Legend - Inarguably DMV's MOST Lyrical.. Delivers ' Awakening '

NDL
I Said It
[Head turned to the side] Who's better man? We all know there are some hot cats in the hood that are incredibly talented, but nobody knows them and many of them do not care to be known.. They don't count.
Who doing ' the damn thang? ' is the question. Who putting in work?
Napolean Da Legend
is a Lyricist.
I listen to a variety of music. I dig all types: Hip Hop, soul, rock, classical...
In Hip Hop, there are an array of styles, because obviously there are an array of people. Some are gangsta rappers, others are conscious.
Many
have their own definition of the term conscious. Some street rappers, say they rap about money, because they are conscious of money and the issues that orbits it.
Music
is like wine to me. My choice of drink depends on my mood, or mode of thought and I have many.
2Pac is inspirational. He fuels my inner rebel.
Wu stimulates my mental palette. I listen to them when I feel fly..
I remember when Wu Tang's influence was so great, that people on the streets or in the studio, identified you from the Wu member you liked most. If you liked RZA, you was most likely the intellect and or producer in the squad hanging around with somebody that wanted to be GZA, looking for an ol Dirty or Rae
NDL reminds me of an East coast styled Pac. The older Pac, or younger Pac.. matured emotionally[calmed], not saying he would be any better or worst, I'm just looking at it scientifically because Pac is my 1st, 2nd and 3rd favorite artist, since before there was a triple darkness. But back, when you couldn't show him respect.. without a lil conflict, round these parts, I told niggaz, ' He a Chosen/Messenger '/Shunned
NDL
reminds me of Pac if he was with[guided by] Wu, from a young age. Imagine that! Imagine if Pac, did his first album, bonded with treach, then somehow connected with RZA. He'd probably take a liking to Rae And Ghost, harmonized easier with BIG.. connected with Snoop and.. invested time on Scarface ONE NATION

Andarah...By the way, Napoleon Da Legend, got Raekwon the Chef on this project, ' Awakening '. It is the 10th track. The song is called Oxygen

He starts it off saying,
" Sometimes it's like as hard as I try,
I am walking in constant darkness.
It's like I can't breathe..
It is like the walls are caving in,
 I need Oxygen"  -NDL

Beautifully put! I am sure everybody can identify with those words. he immediately jumps into the piece elaborating the details. one of my favorite lines in his verse was,

" Falsifying numbers, lying to come up, grinding til sun up, major corporation trying to run us. Police gunners trying to [?son us?], pharmaceutical trying to drug us. black Warren buffet. I get it when I want it." -NDL
And Rae took the baton and showed his ass.
His flow reminded me of the " Only Built for Cuban Linx" tape days.

"Corner store gamblers who scrambled. The man holds the mammals, coke in the fish bowl with sandals on.." -Raekwon The Chef

I am feeling Oxygen. NDL sparked one. He held his. Mid 90's boom bap beat, a soulful 70-ish sample, sporadic bass run. And yeah he held his Own, comfortably.

The CD is a solid accomplishment. 16 solid tracks(including the intro and outro). The 5 songs featured Lyrical greats like Sean P, Raekwon, Minus Nine - who worked 2 tracks " Awakening " Universal Lawz ", and the Brooklyn /Queens rep, - Spit Gemz " Truth Serum ". NPL solidly held the rest down, on his own. He executive produced the project and he did an excellent job. The sound quality is airtight. He has shown he is a leader, showcasing his skill with confidence. I see no weakness, he is not new to the game. His history is rich with work: music, videos and he has acting experience.

" When I first checked out Napoleon Da Legend I knew this dude had an appreciation for Hip Hop culture. A dope emcee with phenominal rhymes who spits bars like crazy. As a veteren in the game this is something the new generation needs to bring. Napolean is fire and his record Veni, Vidi, Vici Pt.2 blew me away."
